In dreams, the house is symbolic of the self. Not all parts of our selves are known to us. Some things are hidden; buried underground or locked behind doors. But locks have keys and buried things can grow. We can retrieve what is unconscious from the shadows and bring them into the light of our awareness.

Then, we become the cultivators of the garden. We become the keepers of our house.

Astrology can help shine a light on what we’ve forgotten - or hidden - within our shadows. Carl Jung said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will rule your life and you will call it Fate.”

In Greek Mythology, Chiron (pronounced “Kai-ron” in English) has been called the wisest and most just of all the centaurs and is known for being a great healer. In astrology, where the asteroid Chiron shows up in your birth chart lies the wound which, once healed within yourself, becomes how and where you will help others heal.

We all have an inner compass that helps call us toward our own truest path in life. Oftentimes the road we travel involves traumas and wounds which create in us blockages and fears that - if left in the shadows and not consciously processed - take us away from our highest course.
